Luke Johnston

Pastor Luke grew up in Kansas City as the son of two pastors (both mother and father)! Luke's call to the ministry started in the world of music. For 6 years Luke was the leader of Christian Rock band, "Don't Know Dorothy." He then went on to work in production and audio before God called Luke to full-time ministry in the church! Luke has served as worship pastor, youth leader, and associate pastor before coming to GlenHaven. Luke is married to his wife Jamie. They have 2 daughters - Norah and Emmi Rose.

Some hobbies Luke enjoys are; frisbee, hiking, The Kansas City Chiefs, reading, writing, and taking Norah to the Park!

Luke's favorite books: "A Long Obedience in the Same Direction" by Eugene Peterson, "Desiring God" by John Piper, "The Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and anything by C.S. Lewis!

Luke received his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from MidAmerica Nazarene University, his Master of Divinity from Mid-Western Baptist Theological Seminary, and a completion of the "Master Apprenticeship Program" program via Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Luke is currently a Doctoral student at Knox Theological Seminary.

McKayla Stabler

Youth & Connections Leader

Having given her life to Christ in high school, McKayla found herself having a passion for ministry after volunteering in various areas within her church in eastern Kansas, where she grew up. She will be receiving her BA in Christian Ministry in May 2022 and hopes to use it to glorify God in whatever capacity that may be. Right now, she enjoys teaching junior and senior high students about Jesus and challenging them to dig deeper into Scripture, along with welcoming visitors and members alike in order to help them get connected with the congregation and ministries they may enjoy.
